Lubrication System:
Simerics-MP+ is used to simulate the complete lubrication system of a 16 cylinder engine. Start form pickup tube, this model includes a gear pump, a pressure regulator valve, an oil cooler, an oil filter, 9 main bearings, 16 conrod bearings, 16 piston pins, 7 camshaft bearing, 32 valve lifters, 16 piston cooling jets, and other components. Simulation results match very well with experiment data.
